Blackway House sleeps 20 in 7 bedrooms, set within beautiful Herefordshire countryside and easily accessed from other parts of the country. A wonderful venue for a get together with large groups of family and friends.

This period farmhouse has fabulous substantial grounds (8 acres around house and 8 acres of fields). There is a secure garden, including a huge deck overlooking the countryside, plenty of lawn, woodland, ponds, orchards, period barns (stables and coach house), a veggie garden and hedged field meadows – all of which are fabulous for exploring and playing. The gorgeous surrounding area is perfect for walks, cycling, riding, historical heritage, vineyards and more.

The facilities within the whole house include:

A large farmhouse kitchen and huge kitchen table
A huge family lounge and separate large TV room, both with wood burning stoves
Four bathrooms: one downstairs, two ensuite, Jacuzzi bath in the family bathroom

The house is ethically managed: biodiversity enhanced, eco measures are taken seriously, profits are used for social purposes.

The house has been described as the perfect venue for a family celebration, a delightful well proportioned period property, where the two comfortable lounges with easy to operate wood burning stoves give space for the younger members of the group. Good sized bedrooms, many with shuttered windows and fluffy feather duvets. Super efficient showers and thoughtful extras, it has a beautiful large garden and woodlands to enjoy.

Dog friendly
Dogs are welcome but please ask the owner. Normally £60 for up 2 dogs for the weekend. Not allowed upstairs or on furniture. Walks off property on lead.

Disabled facilities
Fine for restricted mobility. Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

Hot tub
We don’t have a hot tub but you are welcome to hire one. Please check with the owner as there is an extra charge for this. We can also recommend someone.

WiFi
WiFi is good, mobile reception for some providers can be tricky but EE is good.

Kitchen
Large kitchen/ diner, range cooker, American-style fridge-freezer. Main kitchen can seat up to 20 around the kitchen table.

Living room and TV lounge
Two living rooms, one with a TV, both with double aspect, oak floors, wood burners, shutters.

Heating and open fires
Oil-fired central heating, 2 wood burners. Fire sphere in garden for £60 – please check with owner.

Bedrooms
15 beds (5 king-sized, 10 single) in 7 rooms. Two twin rooms & bathroom downstairs. Upstairs, 3 family rooms (two ensuite), 2 double rooms, family bathroom.

Linen
Bedding and towels provided.

Four beautiful bathrooms: 1 downstairs (shower), 2 ensuites upstairs (showers), 1 family bathroom (Jacuzzi bath and separate shower).

Children’s facilities
Incredible for children: secure garden where they can safely explore 16 acres and let their imaginations run wild.

Outdoor
Sixteen acres. Secure garden, huge deck, stunning fire sphere, lawns, woodland, ponds, orchards, period barns, wildflower fields. Walks from house.

Swimming pool
The nearest pool is in Ledbury. You are welcome to hire a hot tub but please discuss with owner.

Secure off road parking with gate.

Allowed outside as long as stubs are disposed of as directed.
